Hey!!
I'm so happy and thankful for today! I could scream it from the roofs...
Today I received a message via facebook from a friend who is mowing out of the area to be able to buy a home for her and her family. Can you refer me to a Realtor in the Santa Clarita Vally, Robin? Yesterday I was referred to a client by one of the lenders that I work with, meeting with this client tomorrow. About two hours ago I wrote an offer with clients who keep on coming back to ask me about real estate and are looking to expand their real estate portfolio.
I feel very fortunate to have so many amazing and loyal people in my life.
If you or someone you know would be thinking of buying or selling real estate, do you have a REALTOR who you'd refer them to??
2013 will be great!
Cheers!

Connecting with local business owners.
Hi there!
Last Wednesday I organized my second business mixer. Every two months, I set this up at Kampai Sushi House in Los Alamitos.
It all started with friends and clients who have their own business or work for a family business. The awesome thing is that they all are like minded people in business terms as well as in the way they like to interact with eachother. There's no ackward silences or looking at the host for "what to do next". It's like having dinner with friends and connections are made. We start at 5.30 and end at 7.30 although this always turns out to be closer to 9pm.
This time around we had Maria who is a pilates instructor, Raylene the fashion designer, Alice who manages accounts at a CPA firm and Kelly at my preferred escrow company. Shirley was there too and will help families plan funerals. Great time and fun to hang out.
If you're interested in attending, call, text or email me.
To your success, KAMPAI!

The workplace. As a REALTOR my workplace is al over town. Today I'm at my home office working on all the tech stuff that I can think off, and remember from a seminar I went to about a week ago. Marketing is online they say. that's true in many ways however the face-to-face and voice-to-voice is still more important in my book.
Yesterday was a little bit of running around and office work. The photo here shows Ua and Lisa, two of my favorite REALTORS at the office. A workplace is important to get motivated and have a sence of belonging I guess.
The fun part starts when I am 'all over town' showing properties or meeting with clients and friends. That's the way I like to do business, working with people who I like and who like me. By referral only, I call it sometimes. I can spend more time on my clients and their real estate needs that way. Many REALTORS spend time on 'door knocking', 'cold calling', calling 'for sale by owners' etc., etc. That time, I like to use to really be of service to my clients. when I meet my clients I always ask them for referrals, "... who do you know that's also thinking of selling their home...". It's a Win-Win situation.
I hope you enjoy your workplace as much as I do mine! Make it a great day!!
Oh, and by the way, I am never too busy for any of your referrals!
Thanks,
Robin

Don't you want to know first if you want to work with me?
I really enjoy the home buyer consultation. Why? Because I get to know someone better after just meeting them over the weekend at an open house, or after a brief phone call off a sign or advertisement. Sometimes It's someone I "know" from Facebook.
You'll be invited to my office. It's a nice, comfortable office. You'll be greeted most likely by Kathy our Director of First Impressions. She is a sweetheart and will put a smile on your face. She's just a little sunshine!
We'll meet in one of the conference rooms, glass of water or soda and off we go. I think it's really important that in the time that we spend together we get to know eachothers expectations if it comes to your home buying experience. I can only imagine that you'd like to know if you even want to work with me.
I want to know how you got to the decision to buy a home for you (and your family). If you could swing a magic wand around, what would your home look like, where is it located? What do you like about the place your staying right now and more important what irritates you about it. Just basic but important stuff to talk about.
Remember, you are buying your home and nobody elses. It's all about you!
Next time, "What are you comfortable with?"
Robin
